"Hi. Trevor Lefkowitz. Yes, I'm not wearing pants. But it's because of a hero move."

— Trevor in "Halloween 2: The Ghost of Hetty's Past"

Trevor Lefkowitz is the pantsless ghost of a wealthy Wall Street stockbroker from the early 2000s who died from a heart attack while under the influence of drugs and alcohol. He appears in the American sitcom Ghosts.

Biography[]

History[]

Trevor was born to Esther Lefkowitz and Lenny Lefkowitz. He has a brother named Jeremy. He grew up in New Jersey.[4] He is Jewish.[5] On Christmas his family would celebrate by going to get Chinese food in The Christmas Spirit. He and his father like Ess-a-Bagel when they go to New York City.

Since he was at least a teenager, he has been calling himself T-Money.[6] As teen Trevor beats his brother Jeremy in a game of Super Mega Bowl. At Camp Ramah, he once hit a game-winning three at basketball, while being fouled, and never even lost his yarmulke.

His Bar Mitzvah theme was Mel Gibson movies as mentioned in Trevor's Body. He did go to Laurie Schender's bat mitzvah in '82 in White Plains and according to Trevor, kid from Silver Spoons (likely reference to Ricky Schroder, who plays Ricky Stratton in Silver Spoons) was there. He become Godol (President) of his local B'nai B'rith Youth Organization chapter. Trevor was crowned prom king as a junior, which was unprecedented at the time.

Trevor graduated from the Wharton School of Business[7] at the University of Pennsylvania[8] and was part of a fraternity (although he did not get into his first choice).[9] In Weekend From Hell, he mentioned that back when he was in school he would get ADD pills from the "nerds" to study for midterms and learned that he had to be in same mindset when taking the exams. In The Owl, he mentioned that he took an ornithology class because it was packed with Tri-Delts (a sorority).

He got a job on Wall Street at Lehman Brothers and got sucked into the playboy lifestyle before his death. He, according to Hetty in Alberta's Descendant, got "bombed at Mardi Gras with his Lehman Bros". Trevor mentions that he had some "baller weekends" in Miami in Jay's Friends. He once went to a foam party on South Padre Island, TX in The Tree. In Pilot he is seen telling the ghosts about the summer of '98 when he was in the Hamptons at a very exclusive party for Tara Reid. It was a great night for him. In Trevor's Body he mentioned that he was at Tara's birthday at The Surf Lodge. He mentions in 1999, he was left off the guest list for a Fourth of July party on a yacht and was disappointed.

He lived, according to Sasappis in D&D, in Massapequa, Long Island, New York. He had dog named Bucky who he referred as his best friend and always greeted him whenever he returned home. Presumably that after Trevor died, the dog must have been waiting for him to return but he never did.

Before he died, he owned stocks in Circuit City, Enron, and Blockbuster as stated in Viking Funeral. He said that if he was alive and had all this money he'd: own a skyscraper with a glass bottom pool on the roof, Kid Rock was DJing, and there's an epic party. Afterwards, he makes love to his wife Tara Reid then watch The Cutting Edge together.

In the episode Dumb Deaths, he says he is a fan of the New York Giants and once dated a girl who is an Eagle's fan. He'd change the subject to keep the peace and they didn't fight about sports teams.

When he was alive, there was this nail polish brand that had all these clever names for different colors (likely a reference to OPI). Trevor memorized all of them. He says "And when I saw some hottie at a bar, I would correctly guess which one she had on, and boom, I was in." in "The Tree".

He almost moved in with a woman, but they broke up because she wanted him to commit, when he was 30.[10] He thought Nicki Fisher could be "the one".[11]

Before his death he dated Laurie Goldstein (whom according to Trevor and Pinkus, she looks like actress Yasmine Bleeth) for couple weeks, during this, unknown to him, she gets pregnant with their daughter Abby.

Death[]

Trevor and his colleagues, David Woodstone, Ari Cantor, Chet and Pinkus, went to stay at Woodstone Mansion to celebrate Pinkus' promotion. Trevor had a lot of alcohol and took two illegal pills while there. Two hours later, Trevor's friends attempted to haze Pinkus by making him run all the way back to the city from the mansion in only his undershirt. Trevor secretly helped him by giving him his pants (which contained the phone number of a woman he'd been seeing for a couple weeks), underwear, and money clip so he could get a cab. When he came back to his friends, he claimed he had lost his pants after hooking up with their limo driver.

However, he suffered a heart attack due to overdosing on the drugs he took. His death caused his friends to panic, and they called their fathers who advised them to either dispose of the body and then flee the scene, run away and leave the body there, or call the police. The gathered friends proceeded to dump Trevor's corpse in the lake and leave the scene, and they didn't talk about it for 20 years. Only Sasappis was aware of the truth after the other ghosts took the recently deceased Trevor away to welcome him to the mansion.

After Trevor's death, Pinkus called Laurie Goldstein's number, which he'd found in the pocket of Trevor's pants, hoping to get some information about Trevor's whereabouts since he'd been missing for a few days.

Afterlife[]

As a ghost, Trevor leads an existence where he has memories of his career and parties to sustain him as he deals with being the most recently deceased ghost on the property. For all the bragging of his parties and partners, Trevor also shows an interest in livings and in still finding connection and love. In Jay's Friends he mentioned that he misses playing basketball.Trevor's relationship with the ghosts is friendly but complicated. He admires Thorfinn’s wild Viking ways but is often treated with disrespect by Hetty.

In Pilot, when living couple Jay and Samantha Arondekar move into the mansion, Trevor becomes excited to be in the home with an active young couple until the couple’s plans for a hotel are revealed. He is the first to bring up the idea of haunting them into leaving. As a ghost, Trevor has the ability to move small objects, like cups and computer keys, with great and painful effort. It was his successfully dropped vase which caused Sam to trip and become injured, allowing her to see the spirits in their new home.

In "Pete's Wife" Trevor turns to Samantha asks her to look up “a bottle service chick” (Nicki Ficher) from his past. Trevor tells Sam that even though she thinks that he is shallow, he cannot stop thinking about her. He believe that she could have been “the one”, so he begs Sam to look her up. Sighing, Sam locates her on social media, as she shows Trevor pictures of Nicky and her daughter. Samantha looks more closely at a picture of Nicky's daughter at her 21st birthday party and asks Trevor does he think that she has his eyes, Sam then asks Trevor when he and Nicky dated and he tells her it was about 20 or 21 years ago, right before he died. They learned that Nicky's daughter graduated from Penn just like her dad and he is dead. Thinking of the coincidence, Trevor smiles and exclaims they he went to Penn too, then Samantha looks at and nods at him, waiting for him to get understand what she is trying to tell him. After a pause, Trevor understands and says in astonishment, “Oh my God! I’m a DILF!” Later Trevor stops Samantha and apologize for any inappropriate behavior towards her. Samantha tells him that she appreciates this, and Trevor unintentionally starts to flirt with her, then Sam shakes her head and walks away as Trevor apologizes again and tells her that he is a work in progress. Later Trevor tells Thor and everyone that Sam found out that he is not a father as he originally thought; the dad was actually just some other guy. Isaac tells Trevor that he's sorry to hear that; she seemed like a lovely woman and Flower agrees calling her a “beautiful soul”. Trevor wonders if she could still come up and visit. Samantha looks at him and says, “But she’s not your daughter.” Trevor tells Samantha that is the exactly the point; she is not his daughter and checks every box for someone that he would date to which Sasappis sarcastically says, “What a tragedy you didn’t reproduce!”

He makes a dating profile and matches with Jay's sister Bela in the episode Jay's Sister. Using observation of Jay, Sam and others, Trevor leaned how to use apps, the iPad and the modern internet, to create his own dating profile and begin communicating with women. When it is revealed that he has been communicating with Jay's sister Bela, and his identify is revealed, Jay is upset with him over it and tries to walk through him. He is flattered that Jay says he has a nice jawline. Later he apologized to Bela for laying to her, but the connection they had wasn't a lie. He also confesses how he “talk[s] a big game” but honestly just wanted to find someone to spend the rest of his life with but didn't because “life is way too short”. He then tells her to “go find yourself someone who’s as incredible as you because that’s what you deserve”.

In “Trevor's Pants“, the cause of Trevor's death, and the loss of his pants, are finally revealed, it's comes to light when Ari Cantor visits the Woodstone Mansion to discuss purchasing Elias Woodstone's antique pocket watch. Trevor was excited to see his former ‘bro’ and presses Sam to ask Ari about his recollections of working with Trevor. From there, the mystery and lies around Trevor's death, begin to unravel. Trevor tells his fellow ghosts of how he, along with Ari Cantor, Chet and David Woodstone, traveled to the Woodstone Estate in late 2000. While Trevor is forthcoming on his version of events, he maintains he lost his pants due to having sex with the limo driver. But Sasappis reveals to the other ghosts that Trevor actually lost his pants by giving them to a young work associate, who was being forced to participate in a cruel hazing rite without his clothes. Sasappis also reveals that upon Trevor's death, his colleagues covered up the death by disposing of Trevor's body in the nearby lake. Trevor realised he has been betrayed by the men he trusted. After this revelation, Sam, Sasappis and the other ghosts successfully hatch a plan to put Ari on notice that they know of what he and the others did to Trevor; this compels Ari to give Sam and Jay twice the asking amount for the watch, as well as consume a bottle of Chekhov Chill as he had forced his colleagues do. The actions on the part of the ghosts and Sam finally show Trevor what a loved member of the Woodstone Mansion he truly is amongst his ghostly and living family.

As guests began visiting the B&B, Trevor acted as a true ghost — spying with the others for Sam in order to give her insight to their guests’ perspectives (and complaints) in Spies, watching Todd as he combed through Alberta's diary in Alberta's Podcast and discovering the duplicitous nature of the cult which made up Jay's Friends.

His friendship with his fellow ghosts has evolved as well.In The Tree, Trevor gave advice, and provided research acquired from Sam's laptop, to aide Thorfinn on how to win Flower's heart. And in The Liquor License, while at first competitive with Isaac in their creation of dual ‘ghost fraternities, Trevor demonstrated acceptance, inclusion and understanding of a Isaac, feeling rejection from his living days.

Trevor has also leaned into his promiscuous ways, attempting to make romantic in-roads with Molly, Hetty’s despised Irish maid, who temporarily returned to the Woodstone through a séance in Halloween 2: The Ghost of Hetty's Past. Additionally, Trevor has further developed his computer skills in his ghostly state, looking up information on environmental causes for Thorfinn (‘The Tree’) and posting the ‘acceptance’ of Sam's book on Facebook (‘Isaac’s Book’).

In Trevor's Body his skull gets pulled out of the lake by a fishing rod. Later his parents come in to collect his newly discovered remains and have his memorial in Woodstone Mansion. During this Trevor learns that his parents divorced after he died. Feeling responsible, he has Sam get them back together and succeeds in getting them to have sex; but in the end, the two were never compatible and agree to part ways again, though they do acknowledge that they don't blame Trevor for the divorce. In a pleasant turn of events, Trevor's idol crush from his living days, Tara Reid, makes a memorable appearance at the service where she speaks to those gathered — but Sam has to intervene to keep Tara from suffering the same injury with the vase that Sam sustained — Trevor's clever plan to get to meet Tara is averted.

In The Christmas Spirit, Trevor and Bela attempted to rekindle their relationship through her date Eric and after that Bela decided to be with Eric, because Jay calls him "deeply unstable" which makes Bela like him more.

In end of The Christmas Spirit. Part 2 after Trevor admitted that he happy for Bela to Hetty, but he feels just a little revved up, if she knows what he meant. To then Hetty admit she knows that: “To lust for one just out of reach, it's torture. Leaves you feeling hungry”. And then they shared long passionate kiss and they began to be friends with benefits, which leads to them hiding their relationship from the other ghosts. In end of Isaac's Book Nancy and Nigel Chessum discovers Hetty and Trevor engaging in "amorous congress". In Alberta's Descendant Nigel then attempts to blackmail the couple into giving him Trevor's room, which backfires and results in Hetty and Trevor admitting their relationship to the other ghosts, establishing themselves as a couple. After dating publicly for a short while, at the end of Woodstone's Hottest Couple Hetty and Trevor "break up" in front of the other ghosts, but they continue their liaisons in private. In “Man of Your Dreams” Trevor break ups with Hetty after founding that Hetty tried to seduce Thor, believing it would automatically "suck her off", which Trevor found disrespectful to himself and Thor. After that they starting not interacting with each other, but later in "Isaac's Wedding" they sitting together on Isaac and Nigel's wedding ceremony.

In Whodunnit Trevor, along with Flower and Pete, get caught up in the infamous ‘Nigerian prince email scam. In The Heir he provides some critical insight for both Sam and Jay regarding David Woodstone and to Isaac on relationships. At the end of the episode, when Sam observes that someone in the house may have been sucked off, Jay states that he hopes it was Trevor.

In the episode The Baby Bjorn, he uses his financial skills and market power to accumulate everyone's TV time to get back at Hetty. He wanted to sell the TV time back to the others at a higher price, bur after conversion with Hetty he decided free-share TV-time. In "The Silent Partner" Trevor invests Isaac's $10,000 for book with a brokerage account and quickly increases that amount to $187,000 for trading his share of Sam's book advance for Norwegian Cattle Futures. Later due this share Isaac became the covert funder for Jay's restaurant "Manesh".

In “The Work Retreat” he revealed he been working remotely for the last three months as a financial analyst at Mahoning Capital (unknown that company founded by his former colleague Pinkus) by getting an fake identity ("Michael Jackson") on the dark web, applied online and got the gig by passing writing online interview. After been hired he sending his reports, he did “sick job” with the Dreamtek merger and he also mentioned that he crushing chats in the company Slack (unknowns that all his outdated references made his teammates think of him as someone in his 60's). But is thinking quit the job after his boss Brett is demanding our team attend a mandatory in-person retreat, but he changed his mind by asking Sam to have the work retreat at Woodstone B&B and Jay to pretend to be him by offering them to split his bonus that was enough to repair the fountain. Later at retreat after realising that his new coworkers like Jay's version of him better than real him, Trevor falls into a state of despondency and opens up to Sam and others ghosts about his feelings for there's still so much he could’ve accomplished, but he doesn't get that chance until now. After hearing this via Sam, Jay decides to tell that everything he learned came from Trevor Lefkowitz. But he and Trevor learns that T-Money is a legend in the finance world and after founding his company Pinkus banned hazing, then passed the Trevor's “hero move” story down to his mentees, they passed it down to Trevor's new colleagues and the company reinvented the "Run of Fun" as a fun team-building activity instead of a humiliating hazing and renamed in his tribute after his kind deed to Pinkus. Later Jay, Brent, Maggie, Dave, Trevor (and Isaacs) do "Run of Fun" on Woodstone property with Sam and other ghosts watching them.

In "The Primary Source", Trevor, who seems initially dismissive of a new ghost pet, later reveals he had a dog named Bucky who always greeted him whenever he returned home. When he died, he realized the dog must have been waiting for him to return and he felt guilty for leaving him waiting, which is why he hid his true feelings about the pet snail, which he affectionately names Shelly. After admitting this, he sees light and thinks he's being sucked off. He shouts, "Last in, first out!" However, it turns out that the one being sucked off is Shelly the snail. When he's reminded that Pete's ex-wife, Carol, was the most recent death, Thor states that Trevor was most likely referring to the "main eight".

In “It's the End of the World as We Know It and What Were We Talking About?” he and Hetty competed to keep each other off the guest list at ghost table on Manesh Restaurant's grand opening and he tried to exclude Hetty front ghost table. Little a bit later, Hetty confronted Trevor and he admitted he still upset how their relationship ended. Before the grand opening, on kitchen Hetty admitted that she enjoyed their “battle of social manipulation" and Trevor quite the formidable opponent. Trevor says that he not want them to get back together, but admitted that they used to be friends, then they were kind of a power couple and now they were nothing. Then Hetty says that miss their friendship too and apologises for the way their relationship ended saying that she certainly could have handled things better. Then she proposed an alliance, instead of jousting with each other, they collude against the other ghosts to their mutual benefit with the ultimate goal of ruling the house and they can be Power Friends, instead Power Couple.

In Ghostfellas, Hetty and Trevor collude to each get their own bedrooms, which the ghosts worry will open the door to them resuming their physical relationship. In a heroic move, Isaac and Alberta choose to live together to spare everyone from Hetty and Trevor's "unbearable romantic toxicity," as Flower described it. In "St. Hetty's Day" Hetty mentions to her date Sunil that she had “casual thing” with another ghost, but emphaties that it was purely physical, although Hetty doesn't mention Trevor by name, but she describes their relationship as nothing more than a rebound from the washing machine.

  • "We spend our days complaining about how Halloween makes us out to be evil, and movies paint us to be the villains. • "I talk a big game, but the truth is, I really did want to find someone to spend my life with, and I didn’t. Life is way too short. • "That’s how I take Hetty down. Yes, she’s been around a long time, but I was a Wall Street whiz kid. And you just gave me an idea for a new financial instrument. It’s simple as long as you understand the basic principles of market power and the downward sloping demand curve." The Baby Bjorn

Trivia[]

  • Opening intro objects:
  • Trevor possesed some of traits similar to characters/counterparts of original show on BBC. His lack of pants, womanizing, his sexual "story" for his death, and being primary source of incident, which caused living heiress of house to have ability to interact with ghosts, similar to Julian. His initial attraction to Sam is reminiscent of Thomas' attraction to Alison and betrayal (cover up) of his bros about his death is loosely based on Thomas cousin's orchestrated of his death. His relationship with lady of house Hetty is similar to Sir Humphrey Bone's body having an affair with Lady Fanny Button.
  • He is the most recent of the main ghosts at Woodstone Mansion to die, though he is no longer the most recently deceased person on the grounds:
  • He and Thorfinn are the first of the ghosts to communicate with Jay.
  • The only picture of him online is from his obituary as mentioned in "Jay's Sister".
  • In "Trevor's Pants", he also is shown to be great at bargaining.
  • Trevor is dismissive of Dartmouth College. Trevor called Dartmouth “safety school” in “Hello!” and "most expensive ski school in the country" in “The Not-So-Silent Partner”. Presumably most because of Ivy League Rivalry, Trevor is Penn University/Wharton School grad.
  • He watched The Mystery of Al Capone's Vaults in "The Vault".
  • Hetty tried to banish him to hell to see if that was her true ghost power after Elias was sent there ("The Vault"). It's heavily implied that Hetty views Trevor's sexual impulses as similar to Elias', whom she hates.
  • He likes the validation that dating apps give him in "Jay's Sister".
  • In "Alberta's Podcast", he says he finds all women named Hailey to be hot.
  • In the episode "The Vault", he admits Elias Woodstone's power is "amazing", though he doesn't like the man himself.
  • Trevor's Jewish heritage is a reference to the fact that his actor, Asher Grodman, is Jewish.

Notes and references[]

  1. Trevor's Body: In his memorial, its state that he was born in 1968, not 1969 like Stephanie previously implied. It’s possible, however, that Stephanie was born in late 1968 and began school a year later than Trevor, thus her prom being in 1987. Whodunnit: There's still a continuity error regarding Trevor's age, since a few episodes later he mentions being 33 at the time of his death, which would make 1967 his birth year.
  2. Bela confirms that the image of Trevor used on his dating profile is from an "obituary" and it is "twenty years [ago]", implying his funeral was in 2001. Trevor also states in Pete's Wife that it was "twenty or twenty one" years ago that he died, however, confirms that Trevor's death occurs in “November 2000”.
