"The Devil Went Down to Woodstone" is the twenty-second and final episode of Season 4 in the American sitcom Ghosts and its 72nd episode overall. It aired on May 8, 2025.
Synopsis[]
Sam and Jay host a big party for the launch of Sam and Isaac's vampire book.
Plot[]
Seeing Elias, Sam tells Jay who he is while the latter says this is Brett, his new publicist. Sam repeats what she just said while the ghost revealed that Elias now has the ability to take on human form, and he told him this previously when he popped in a few weeks ago. Thorfinn notes they should have said something as Sam agrees angrily. Elias confirms to the confused Jay of his identity and that he used the alias Brett McAfee secure a contract from him which was actually Jay selling his soul to the devil. Jay bemoans this fact while Elias confirms to Sam when Jay dies, he is going to hell. The ghosts wonder if this was the evil that Patient has sensed earlier, noting she was right all along. Elias tells the ghosts he would secure a soul while telling Jay things are going to look good for the upcoming talk show, but Jay wants out of the contract but Elias refuses and tells him to make use of what little time he has left. Jay questions this and Elias states there are ways to speed up the process before a lamp nearly falls on Jay who dodges. Elias remarks that he thought he would get Jay on the first try but cuts his losses by stating he would see him soon.
