"St. Hetty's Day" is the sixteenth episode of Season 4 in the American sitcom Ghosts and its 66th episode overall. It aired on March 13, 2025.
Synopsis[]
Hetty's ghost power is revealed when Jay's cousin Sunil visits Woodstone Mansion on St. Patrick's Day.
Plot[]
The opening starts with Chris watching as paramedics take his body away. Trevor comforts him noting on how he was taken in his prime like him, but Chris showed no signs of sadness at his death and shrugged it off. Jay bemoans the backlash from the situation and remarks on how it's unfortunate about Chris, but Sam reveals to Jay that Chris is now a ghost and is okay with it, to his ire at the fact that there is another attractive ghost. Sam denies that but Chris flirting with Sam leaves her blushing, while she tries to cover it up. Chris formally meets more of the ghosts and Isaac confides to Flower how he wants to make a good impression on the new ghost but when Chris approaches, Isaac finds he is unable to talk to him because of his crush and Chris gives him a nickname "Ice" when he tries to give his name. After he leaves, Flower comments on how that was terrible to watch.
After Jay leaves out, Alberta and Sasappis note on how Sunil must be feeling with his break-up. Hetty then enters wishing a happy holiday, while fully embracing her heritage with some remarks that the pair note on. Sunil looks up from the paper and comments on how people really are in the spirit of St. Patrick's Day at the Woodstone manor. Surprised, Hetty asked him was he talking to her and he confirms since she is the only person in the room. Alberta and Sas are equally stunned that Sunil can see her and Hetty makes Sunil believe she is a guest after introducing herself. To avoid breaking cover, Hetty leaves out the hallway, clearly shaken by this revelation.
Meanwhile, Isaac wants to impress Chris to recover from his flop. Both Trevor and Flower give him instructions, while telling him not to scare or disturb his crush with things he shouldn't know while Chris was alive. They tell him to let Chris come to him but Isaac decides to play it cool but his practicing worries them.
Sometime later, Hetty and the others inform Pete who inquires if Hetty can interact with physical objects, but she denies it. Questions are raised as to why he cannot be seen, to which Pete speculates now that Hetty has embraced her Irish heritage that she has activated her ghost powers and can manifest on St. Patrick's Day. He then wonders on what hierarchy her powers off at the list everyone else’s ability. Sunil then comes up and invites Hetty for a walk around the property, something she accepts.
In the kitchen, Alberta and Sas tell Sam they have big news before Sunil comes in and tells them he just had an amazing walk with an exquisite woman. Jay asked his cousin who is talking about and Sunil answers their guest, as Sam tells him they don’t have a guest. Sunil then mentions her name Hetty who promptly enters the room, surprising Sam and Jay. They nervously greet her while confirming that she is indeed a guest. Afterwards, Sam and Jay learn of how Hetty has unlocked her ghost power. Hetty wants to end it quickly to have lunch with Sunil, as Jay questions on why the ghosts date his family.
