Season 5 of the American adaptation of Ghosts was announced in February 2025 as part of an double renewal for the series, (the series was renewed for a fifth and sixth season).[1] Just like last season, it follows Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage at 8/7c, which premiered on October 16, 2025.
Synopsis[]
Season 5 continues the story of living couple Sam (McIver) and Jay (Ambudkar) as they run their B&B estate known as Woodstone, as well as their newly opened restaurant Mahesh, all while cohabitating with an eclectic mix of ghosts who stir up some silly shenanigans on a day-to-day basis.

This new season, according to ACTRA, began filming on July 28, 2025 and ends on February 20, 2026.
Trivia[]
- The cast confirmed that Season 5 includes another Halloween-themed episode called "The Mummy".
- The mummy from last year's yard-sale episode is the center of the episode.[2]
- Patience is returning this season. According to the cast, she'll have a significant "showdown" with Hetty's husband, Elias. Patience will also bring us face-to-face with the new group that she mentioned at the beginning of season 4 as “the others.”
- Trevor's daughter is set to appear in multiple episodes this season, as she will work at Jay's restaurant.
- Alberta's hat will have more backstory this season. We will learn more about why Thorfinn has such a strong obsession with it.
- Joe Port revealed that we will discover "an interesting new thing" about Flower's ghost power during the upcoming season.
- When asked whether Sam might appear in a flashback as a child and encounter the Ghosts before inheriting the mansion, Joe Port responded that it's not impossible, especially since Sam has previously mentioned visiting her aunt in the past.
- They are working on one of the latest big mystery of the show, Sasappis' death, to put this story together to share with us.
- We will see more of Bela's this season. She will be helping more with the restaurant and launching her own event business. In a twist, she will also start a relationship with a ghost – and it won't be Trevor.
- There be another Christmas two parters and St. Patrick episodes this season.[3]
