Ghosts (also Ghosts Germany, Ghosts DE) is a German adaptation of the British sitcom of the same name. Commissioned by German public broadcaster WDR and streaming service ARD Mediathek, the German remake is the first in-house production of BBC Studios Germany.[1] The series premiered on ARD Mediathek on 7 March 2025 with six 25-minute episodes, which were broadcasted on ONE on 13 March 2025.[2]
Premise[]
Young couple Emma and Felix inherit an old mansion which they plan to turn into a hotel. However, after a near-death accident leaves Emma with the ability to see ghosts, she finds that she and Felix aren't the only occupants of Donnerhall House. Their ghostly roommates include a Neanderthal named Urs, Roman legionnaire Claudius, Countess Adelheid, feminist maid Griet, insurance salesman Joachim, teacher Svenni, and love-hungry poet Friedrich Dorn.[1][3]
