Ghosts : Fantômes en héritage (lit. "Ghosts in inheritance", also Ghosts France, Ghosts FR) is a French adaptation of the British sitcom of the same name. The screenplay was co-written by director Arthur Sanigou and Joris Goulenok. It premiered on Disney+ France on 9 April 2025.
Premise[]
A group of ghosts live together despite their differences on the very grounds where they had died over the centuries: the castle of Mérudeaux. Their peaceful afterlives are interrupted when Alison and Nabil arrive, a couple who inherit the place and want to transform it into a hotel. This idea is a nightmare for the ghosts, and they decide to haunt the couple away. In trying to do so, they cause an unfortunate accident involving a chandelier, which results in Alison gaining the ability to see and hear them. Since she and her husband are stuck where they are, however, Alison is forced to learn more about her unlikely new roommates and slowly finds them becoming her new family.

Continuation[]
Sanigou expressed interest in continuing the French adaptation and writing is already underway, though a second season has yet to be officially confirmed. Sanigou released several spoilers of what may happen in the second season, mentioning that the story behind the deaths of Auguste, Georges, François may be revealed, as well as details involving Countess Marie-Catherine's death.[1]
