Plot[]
The episode opens with the couple having breakfast in the kitchen while the ghosts observe them. While going through the letters from today's post, Alison finds a letter from a film company asking to use their house for an upcoming film. The couple invites the director and her crew for a tour around the manor. The director tells the couple that the film they are shooting is a regency period drama and they warn them that there is going to be nudity and sex much to Fanny's chagrin, but Kitty's excitement. They tell the couple that they're going to pay them £3000 per day for three months in exchange for letting them use their manor. Due to their money running low, the couple quickly accepts their offer, while keeping quiet about the manor's structural problems.
The rest of the film production arrives and the Captain seemingly takes a fancy to the production's assistant director, Adam. Pat teaches Mary and Kitty about the art of movie-making, Robin gets distracted by the studio lights, Julian has Alison place a bet on the horse-racing for him, while Thomas is driven to despair upon learning that the film is about Lord Byron whom he hates. Mike becomes jealous when Alison meets her favorite actor, Toby Nightingale, joking to Adam that the actor is Alison's "free pass" which Thomas overhears. Thomas learns what a "free pass" is from Julian which Fanny also overhears.
As the filming goes underway, the couple monitors the flow of staff and objects into the ballroom. The situation becomes intense when the film crew does a close-up take of the characters. However, Mike manages to prop the ceiling support just beneath the ballroom after seeing large cracks beginning to form just as the scene upstairs is completed. The film crew then moves to one of the bedrooms where the sex scene is going to take place. Things take a turn for the worst when Toby falls through the floor of the bedroom while filming the sex scene, prompting the film production to leave the manor without paying the couple. The episode ends with Alison informing Mike that they at least won £100 from a horse-racing bet placed by Julian.
