Donna is the ghost in the Caribbean island of Saint Lucia. She appears in the American sitcom Ghosts.

History[]

Biography[]

Donna was married to a man named Gerald. Her neighbor Linda had murdered him with a pitchfork due to a parking dispute and due to Donna wielding a pitchfork for Halloween, all the evidence pointed to Donna. She fled to the Caribbean. An episode in a true crime series called Vicious Vixens was made about her.

Death[]

While staying at a hotel in St. Lucia in 1982, another guest accidentally dropped his cell phone from a ninth floor balcony and hit her on the head, killing her. She became a ghost haunting the hotel.

In 2024, Pete follows his daughter Laura and her family to the hotel and sees Donna, where he compares her to actress Loni Anderson before she thanks him for the compliment and he realizes that she can see him because she is a ghost.

After dating for two days, Pete starts to disappear into oblivion. Donna suggests that he stay with her anyway, but Pete chooses to return to Woodstone Mansion to check if he will be restored to normal by doing so. This suspicion is correct.

Pete still is in love with Donna and continues to visit her whenever he can but does return. In the episode The Work Retreat, Hetty and Sasappis become annoyed with Pete bragging about his ability to leave the house and make up a rumor that Donna doesn't exist and Pete just made her up. In the end, Sam makes a search about Donna and finds news articles about her confirming that she is indeed real, but also that she killed her husband and fled from justice. Pete was horrified to learn her true nature, while the woodstone ghosts were amused by this event. However Donna was proved innocent and someone else did the crime which was revealed in season 4 episode Pinkus Returns.

Appearance[]

She is a tall, thin blonde woman wearing high heels and a long green dress. She has a typical late '70s to early '80s hairdo, slightly disheveled at the top where the cell phone hit her.

Trivia[]

  • "Vicious Vixens" appears to be a parody of the docu-series Deadly Women in the Investigation Discovery channel, which examines a murder case committed by a woman per episode.
  • Donna claims that the cell phone that killed her "weighed about 15 pounds" (6,8 kg). This is obviously an exaggeration. A 1982 cell phone weighed about two pounds (1 kg).
  • She died three years before Pete.
