A sketch featuring the Ghosts cast was broadcast as part of the Comic Relief Red Nose Day telethon on 17 March 2023. It is probably not canon, though it is consistent with the rest of the series to date.
Plot[]
Alison and Mike are hoping to hire Button House out for a music festival, and receive a visit from promoter Tess Ross (played by Tanya Moodie) and one of the headline acts: Kylie Minogue. While Tess and Kylie discuss the venue with the Coopers, the ghosts weigh in with their own observations: Thomas opines that she is as beautiful as her verse, Lady Button immediately distrusts her because she is Australian, while Julian is surprised that Pat has never heard of her - but when Pat insists she is too young to have been on TV in the 1980s, Julian changes his tune and instead accuses Kylie of being an impostor.
When Tess, Mike and Alison go outside to see the grounds, Kylie asks to use their bathroom, but once they're gone she instead turns to the ghosts, telling them to shut up. Like Alison, she gained the ability to see ghosts after a head injury - in her case, while filming the roller-skating sequence for the video to "Spinning Around". She calls them out for their previous comments, but Julian continues to insist that she is an impostor, and even a video call from Jason Donovan fails to convince him. Alison walks in on her as she is remonstrating with the ghosts and each realises the other can also see them.
Kylie finally convinces Julian that she is the real deal by singing "I Should Be So Lucky" with Alison playing piano. Mike and Tess enter the room as Kylie is talking to the ghosts, and Tess exclaims how frustrating it is to work with someone who is always seeing and talking to ghosts that she can't see - with which Mike agrees.
With Alison and Mike having both met someone in a similar situation to them, Tess and Kylie leave Button House. As they go, they discuss whether it will be a suitable venue, and Kylie decides that they should instead hire a castle they've already seen which apparently has the ghost of an axe-wielding executioner... "but at least there was only one of them".

Trivia[]
- The sketch opens with an alternative version of the Ghosts theme tune, and the visuals are adjusted so that when Mary is seen, she ascends out of sight. The altered visuals were retained for series 5, though the music reverted to the original version.
- The sketch was meant to be made in 2022 for that years comic relief but Kylie Minogue had caught Covid and was unable to perform.
