Charles Worthing is Alison and Mike Cooper's solicitor. He has a very no-nonsense demeanour and initially appears to look down on the Coopers, though he does have their best interests at heart.
After initially appearing in the very first episode, breaking the news of Alison's inheritance of Button House, he appears again in the Season 3 episode I Love Lucy, in which the Coopers are apparently visiting to finalise taking ownership of their driveway (resolving a subplot from S1's Moonah Ston). He is the person who alerts Alison to the possibility that her recently discovered half-sister Lucy may have a claim on the estate and advises Alison to make sure that Lucy is who says she is, which proves to be very good advice indeed.
