Bilio Karatasos (Greek: Μπήλιω Καρατάσου) is the ghost of a rebel during the Greek War of Independence (1821-1829), who got burned alive by the Ottoman Turks. She appears in Greece adaptation and is portrayed by Agoritsa Oikonomou.
Trivia[]
- It is implied that Bilio died after June 1825 (since she describes the mysterious circumstances in which Odysseas Androutsos, a prominent figure of the war, died on 5 June 1825).
- In the 5th episode of the series Bilio says that she got burnt to death by Ibrahim Pasha (a leader of the Ottoman-Egyptian forces who attempted to defeat the Greek revolutionaries). This is highly unlikely, since Bilio got burnt to death in Kifisia (a suburb of Athens, in which the old mansion resides) and Ibrahim Pasha did not ever fight in Athens or the surrounding area (he mainly fought in Pelopponesos and Mesolongi). The correct name Bilio would have to use is "Kütahıs" (Greek: Κιουταχής), who actually besieged the Greek garisson in Acropolis of Athens from August 1826 to May 1827.
