Benjamin Thomas Willbond (born 18 January 1973) is an English actor and screenwriter with numerous credits in television, radio and film best known as a member of the British Horrible Histories troupe in which he starred in the TV series Horrible Histories, Yonderland and Ghosts.
Biography[]
Willbond was educated at Stamford School in Lincolnshire, boarding at the school, and read Russian and French at St Catherine's College, Oxford. He also plays the violin.
He is best known for his numerous roles in the CBBC children's programme “Horrible Histories”, running from 2009 to 2013. As well as starring as various characters throughout the shows run, he also wrote many episodes, along with the other five main actors.

- According to the book Ghosts: Brought to Life, Ben Willbond was planned to play the ghost of a monk instead of, or in addition to The Captain. The monk would be perpetually drunk because he drank himself to death on strong monastery wine. The book contains a picture of the monk playing chess with Robin. However, this character was cut and doesn't appear in the series.
