Baxter is one of the revolutionary war ghosts who lives in the shed, located in the grounds of Woodstone Mansion. He fought alongside Nigel Chessum and Jenkins in the war. He appears in the American sitcom Ghosts.
Biography[]
Life[]
Baxter was born in the UK in the 1700s and went to America on a military ship to govern the colonies. There he worked under Nigel Chessum in the British Army. He was also acquainted with a soldier named Jenkins whom he worked with. When the revolutionary war broke out, Baxter was one of the British soldiers fighting.
Death[]
Baxter died when an American army led by Captain Isaac Higgintoot arrived and a battle broke out in Hudson Valley. After Isaac accidentally shot Nigel dead, Baxter and Jenkins led the army to fight against the Americans, which resulted in both of them dying and their army being defeated. Baxter, in specific, was stabbed by a bayonet near his stomach.
Baxter became a ghost after his death and haunted the grounds of Woodstone Mansion alongside the ghosts of Nigel Chessum and Jenkins. He still had his fife in his hand since he was holding it when he died. Baxter lived in a shed with the other revolutionary ghosts and only came out once or twice a year with Nigel to reaffirm the boundaries with Isaac, who was also a ghost and now haunting the land as well.
However, once Sam and Jay inherit the house off the deceased Sophie Woodstone, Nigel begins to make his trips up to the house a little more frequent, visiting Isaac and the other ghosts. Sometimes Baxter and Jenkins come with him, but not always. They do not move up to the house at any point and continue living in their shed. A few years later Baxter would go on to enter a relationship with an recently deceased Carol after she moved into the shed since it was too weird for her to keep living in the manor with the ghost of her first husband Pete. After Issac canceled his wedding with Nigel, Baxter and Carol used the canceled venue to get married themselves in the offscreen moments of the season 3 finale.
